oem ballast removal (dc5)

hi! how do you remove and replace the ballast of a hid dc5 headlight? i can't pry it out since the igniter is too big for the hole in the housing...? do i need to cut the wires and solder them back on?

the ballast and ignitor should all come off. the ignitor cord should have a connector to the ballast could unplug.. there should be no cutting needed..
