Turbo rebuild? Who do u recommend?
I have a precision sc61 and was wondering of who to send it to for a rebuild? Or would it be better to just purchase a new one with it being sum what out dated now it that would be the better bang for the buck.. Thanks
You can rebuild and even upgrade with it by the time you go through all that. Ask Lighteningteg on here. He did the same thing. Give him a PM

Sweet thanks... I already have the s cover.. the main think I was wondering if it would be better money wise to upgrade it when I have it rebuilt or just buy one of precisions new ones.. ive never had one rebuilt and was wondering for the money it would be better off buying a new one..
Heh. you missed the point. He didn't upgrade to an "S" cover at all. it rebuilt it completely with Garrett components, a custom compressor wheel, and it performed better than when it was new.
Cost of rebuild/upgrade depends upon your budget and goals of what you're doing. Just because you get a newer unit, doesn't necessarily mean that it was the better choice.

As I mentioned, you have a Turbonetics ceramic ball-bearing cartridge. your choices for rebuild locations will be slim. Its best to send back to Turbonetics directly in your case, or perhaps Precision which also uses a Ceramic ball-bearing cartridge of similar measurement.
sorry. i never had any experiences from blaast myself. i only heard good things.
since someone had a negative experience from blaast, i suggest you do NOT listen to my advice lol

I typically don't talk about other shops and businesses in general online to the public without good cause (He who is w/o cast the first stone, right?). But in this case, I would avoid them...seriously.
Glad at least you had one good experience.
