Hey guys I currently own a build f22b1 head with a f22a4 block, bisimoto internals etc etc...my question is, can a f22a6 camshaft work in a f22b1 head?

 

The F22B1 is a VTEC head and the F22A6 is non VTEC. Therefore, I would assume that it would not work as the VTEC rocker arms and non VTEC camshaft lobes would not line up properly.

I would ditch the B1 head and try to find a 90-93 F22A* (PT3) head. F22A1, A4 & A6 heads are the same casting number (PT3) the difference between them is in the valve train. However, If you are stuck on the SOHC VTEC, I would save up and buy an aftermarket cam.

 

Non VTEC cam won't work in a VTEC head like Ghost said.

 

Would a delta 272 cam fit with a f22b1 head?

 

Depends if it's a B1 272 cam. Just get a F22B1 Level 2 VTEC cam from Bisi. I got mine when I had the B1 and it pulls like no other.

 

Best bet would to be to contact Bisi, Delta or Web. Delta and Web have thousands of grinds to suit any build that you could conjure up. They may have a grind that suits your budget & build.
