Heat shields: To remove or not to remove? That is the question!
I have been driving my integra GSR for about a year now with these rattly *** heat shields on my stock exhaust. I was just wondering if you guys removed them. Either for your oversize exhausts or if you just took them off cuz they were annoying. I have tried bending them to get them to stop rattling but it just wont stop. Will removing them damage anything? (I assume they were put there for a reason) If no, which ones can/should I remove.
Thanx

Thanx for all your replies. I think the one that is causing problems is the one over the cat. I might remove it and then Wrap the cat with some sort of insulation. Do you know what to use for that sort of thing. If I remember there was insulation for headers to keep the engine bay cool that someone made. Any idea what they used?
BTW. this is to keep the cat warm so that it actually does its job.

keep the one over the cat.
either buy a replacement shield, or get a huge metal band (worm gear hose clamp) and tighten that around it.

I have had all of mine removed(including the one around the cat) for a few years now and have had zero problems.
