you need to run a tap down the block i don't even know what a time sert is and i dought anyone else does to. you may be screwed. sounds like u either have dirt in the threads or u didn't follow the spec and over torqued the head. did you strip the threads out? if so it depends how bad they are whether its repairable or not. head bolt torque spec on a z6 is as follows:
Step 1....22ft lbs............................. 9 5 1 3 7
Step 2....53ft lbs........in sequence 10 6 2 4 8
Step 1....22ft lbs............................. 9 5 1 3 7
Step 2....53ft lbs........in sequence 10 6 2 4 8
i know the torque specs and the sequence already but i just need to find someone with a time sert kit...if you haven't had this happen to you then i doubt you know what a time sert kit but if you have or work at a machine then im pretty sure youve heard of it....i just dont want to use heli-coils at all
yeah i would never use heli coil on anything like this. from looking at the product it does look like a good fix but i highly dought anyone has one of these laying around. your probably better off ordering one yourself. your loosing time by waiting on nobody that may not have one.good luck you will need a M10-1.25... i see there are quiet a few distributors for this product in california and would only take a day or so to get it.
