Default ?? for those running the Comptech Sway Bar

I did a search and did not find what I was looking for...

I just installed my Comptech 22mm non adjustable sway bar this weekend and I love it. I have a question though......

I bought the kit used (Thanks BOB-DC2 :thumbup and installed it Saturday night. As I was going over the instructions, I noticed that Comptech recomended using the 1" spacer where the endlink connects to the LCA. The kit didn't have the 1" spacer only the 1/4" spacer. I PM'd BOB-DC2 about it and he said that it had been used on an integra before (not his) so there shouldn't be a problem. I went ahead and installed it using the 1/4" spacer and it seems to be working.

My question for those who have installed the Comptech Sway bar on their Tegs is "which spacer did you use". Should I try to acquire the 1" spacer or is the 1/4" sufficient? I'm mainly worried about long-term issues using the 1/4" spacer.

Also, I noticed after the install, that my rear wheels seem to be tilted in at the top instead of straight up and down like it was. Is this from the endlinks? Is it maybe from not using the 1" spacer. Should I try to adjust the endlinks (screw them out or in) in any way. The instructions said to make sure the eyelets on the endlink were 3 1/4" apart, and I did that, but the wheel is still not straight.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated
Thanks

Looking at the instructions from the Comptech site it appears that the 1" stepped bushing is needed to get the end links to line up vertical when the bar is setup at the soft position (maybe hard position too). This vertical position is important since the travel path of the endlink with be parallel with the control arm movement (also vertical) maximizing the leverage on the sway bar.

Hope this makes sense.

I'd call up Comptech, tell them your situation, and get the part you need to solve your problem. I've been at their facility many times and their manager and techs are very helful.

Hope this helps you out.

Comptech sway bar has nothing to do with the camber setting on the wheel. Your case about it tilting in. No related to each other. I don't recall the old style spacers, but call up comptech and get it solved.

Yeah..it does..thanks! (although I don't have the adjustable bar...but it don't matter)
I just got word from Comptech that I do need the 1" spacer, stepped bushing, and longer bolt. I'm going to order them today.
What about that camber though??? I know akhom said the sway bar doesn't affect the camber, but I know it wasn't like this before I switched out the bars. I'll put the new stuff on and see what it does.
Thanks again for the info
