(On the OBD1 harnes) pin # D04, is the wire used to check your CEL. If you are throwing a code and you want to check it, simply ground the D04 wire and the CEL will blink. Counting the blinks are the same as you would be looking at the red light on a OBD0 ecu.

...not sure if thats what you needed. If not, please rephrase what you are trying to do exactly.

Are you saying the Check Engine Light itself is not illuminating? If so make sure its connected and if its getting power. If it is check the bulb.

A quick check to see if the ecu is getting power is 5v ref on tp with koeo. If no power you are not getting power out the ecu. If power availed then bulb circuit fault.

right now it is not throwing codes. but the car seems to function right other than the occasional 2k rpm rev limit, sudden jerking when in 1st or 2nd gear, rpm just drops to almost 0rpm but recovers, low idle after a cold start. but i just need to switch the engine off and turn it back on and the problems just go away... the ecu has been repaired but the problem seems to happen over and over again...

sorry for being clueless... new builder...
