can i plug the hose that goes from my air assist solenoid valve to my intake manifold without causing any problems to my engine? can somebody please help me i am new to honda's.

Why?

 

i have a vacuum leak coming from the hose port on the intake manifold. so i am wondering if i can just plug it. i have removed the intake gasket and it looks good but there is still a leak

 

i bought a 2000 civic ex and it has a d16z6 block and a d16y8 head with d16y8 intake...my problem is the hose that goes from the air assist solenoid to the intake mani..it has a leak and i cant seal it with the gasket..i am wondering if i can just plug it without causing any engine codes?

 

pull the intake off plug the holes with an aluminum rivet. plug all 4 injector holes then plug the top big port with a screw in plug. u may have to tap to make one fit. then get a gasket to fit a 96-98 civic intake manifold and no u wont throw any codes removing it.
