Thats the code I pulled off my reader, I'll check again tomorrow but I am pretty positive. As for symptoms I honestly couldn't answer that for you as I literally bought the car earlier today and just drove it to my house
Transmission is a little jumpy going into drive and what not though. and I am not sure about the Check engine light. My ABS and SRS light are on also and saw threads where you can jump them to make their lights blink to see what codes are showing for them.

Hello everyone,
Earlier I bought a '96 automatic intergra with 243k miles. I hooked up an OBD2 reader and it pulled codes p0700 and p1794, both of which I can't find any info on after searching. All I can find is it may be somehow related to the transmission but that isn't really helpful at all when 10 codes in that code range read the same description. If anyone has any ideas of what it could be please let me know! thanks!

Checking the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) with the Service Check Connector and Special Tool
When the TCM senses an abnormality in the input or output systems, the D4 indicator light in the gauge assembly will blink.
When the Service Check Connector (located under the dash on the passenger side) is connected with the special tool as shown, the D4 indicator light will indicate (blink) the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) when the ignition switch is turned ON (II).
when the D4 indicator light has been reported on, connect the Service Check Connector with the special tool. [someone else linked in here how to read this using a paperclip]
Then turn ON (II) the ignition switch and observe the D4 indicator light.
Codes 1 through 9 are indicated by individual short blinks. Codes 10 and above are indicated by a series of long and short blinks. One long blink equals 10 short blinks. Add the long and short blinks together to determine the code. After determining the code, refer to the electrical system Symptom-to-Component chart on pages 14-54 and 55.

___-_-_______________-_-_______________ = See DTC2

Some PGM-FI problems will also make the D4 indicator light come on. After repairing the PGM-FI system, disconnect the BACK UP fuse No. 47 (7.5 A) in the under-hood fuse/relay box for more than 10 seconds to reset the TCM memory, then recheck.
NOTE: Disconnecting the BACK UP fuse also cancels the radio anti-theft code, preset stations and the clock setting.

P1794 is not listed in that TSB. The list jumps from P1793 to P1870. Evidently the TSB is wrong. I wonder what other DTCs are missing...
The TSB goes on to say that not all models use all the DTCs listed.
