I am looking for a fan for my new radiator setup and I just wanted to see if anyone has any input on Derale fans, I previously ran a 13"a 1710cfm SPAL and it worked great, but now I can only fit a 12" not a 13" so I have two options, a 1630cfm SPAL or a 2150cfm Derale, price is not an issue, so I just want to know if the Derale is as reliable as the SPAL, because if so I am deffinatley going for the Derale. And yes, I do need as many cfm as I can get, and ebay slim fans won't work, also this will be fully shrouded.

Why cant you fit the extra inch? 13" would be better, if your only going to run a 12" stick with the spal and get your self a shroud

 

As I said, I cant fit it. The radiator is only 13" tall, and a 13" fan is actually 14-15" tall. I think I am going to give the derale a shot.

 

I have a 13" zirgo fan on my civic radiator, fits just fine
