Default Honda Civic SI 2008 won't start up

Hello, Im new to this forum. I have the following problem. I want to buy a crash honda civic SI 2008 so I can rebuild it for myself. I am looking at the iaai.com insurance auction website and I see a Civic with a hit on the right door with 54k miles on it but it says the car won't start. I dont think the problem is electrical because I can see the odometer showing the actual mileage of the car. I would like to know what could be the worst case sceneario for this car not to start and how much would it cost to fix?? This car was only own by one person according to autocheck so I am guessing it was still under warranty. I appreciate any information you might tell me. The link to the car is this:

It could just be a bad battery. At the auctions, they connect a jumper pack to newer cars to read their odometers if the battery's bad.

I don't see where it says that they tried to start it with a jump. If the battery's not the problem, there are like hundreds of different things that could be wrong. Does the motor crank? Does the fuel pump prime? Do the injectors get fuel? Does it build compression? etc, etc. You can go on and on with the questions trying to diagnose a starting problem. Worst case scenario would be bent valves/broken pistons from an overrev, which would require a new engine.

It could be they don't have the right key with the right transponder and the car shut itself down.

If you think you can do the repair I wouldn't be afraid of the starting problem.
