Toss me some "fame" on my Octane Academy application!
http://octaneacademy.com/video/billy...ly-application
Pretty much every other entry is lame talking head of someone standing in front of their Pontiac Grand Am saying they can drive. And I am pretty sure I can do it better than anyone else who would get picked. The guys who got picked for Deegan's team that had a "rally specialty" drove lifted trucks and an M3.
The thing is, I CAN drive and I rally a Civic.
So have all your Honda buddies give me some fame so I can get in to Ken Block's academy team.
Thanks!

I would rather see you shredding through the woods like your 1 video you have on youtube with some cool music or something...I dunno is that what they want to see for your application video?
care bears and stuff...
I gave you fame but think a better intro video would help your case.
Strap a bunch of gopros on you and your car and look extreme!!!!!!

Maybe I should have used more words like EPIC and EXTREME? Those seem to be the hot adjectives to use when describing something.
However, for the real racing stuff just watch my YouTube channel. I got the Sno*Drift rally coming up at the end of January. I'm going to do my best to have pre-event updates and even some same day updates during the event.
uggh that sucks, I watched a few videos and some of the people were posting videos of them riding or driving so I thought it was allowed.
I guess they are not really trying to get talent....
Seems like they are trying for harold and kumar type guys that run around saying EXTREME! in the gas station lol

These things are never really about talent. I tried a generic approach when I applied to the Fiesta Movement (I pretty much told them I was going to track day/autocross the car). But they were looking for people who were million+ view youtube channels, writers on big time blogs, etc. On Jalopnik they had a video how they had to teach some chick how to drive a stick (they were all manual transmissions) and she was one of your typical YouTube talking head "stars". They were just using it as cheap advertisement.
For the Octane Academy The details for application process say
Don't know how you could really "make it big" without showing yourself driving. So I figured the next best thing was making a Brawndo style commercial.
But if you guys like rally stuff you should come out to some events in your area. Unless you're in Colorado, you pretty much have an even that's a days drive a way. The best way to spectate an event is to volunteer as a stage marshall. You get a secluded spot to watch from, usually get free stuff and free dinner at the awards party as well.

P.S. thanks for all the fames!

Make a video. Make it big. Make the team.
This is the Octane Academy.
Remember: Save the driving for the Academy. DON'T include it in your video. If you do, your video won't be shown.
