B20B with a LS head help
Hello my 97 CRV had a bad head and the only head I could find locally was a LS head. I just finished removing the stock head and before I try and get this thing back together I had a few questions. The LS head came without cams and rockers, so should I do the valve adjustment per B20 specs or B18B specs? Another question, are the head bolts and timing belt the same for each? I do not wanna put a B20 head back on the crv is I can help it. I read there is an issue with the b20 head if you do not complete a valve adjustment every 30k you could bend the valves. This is what happened to me. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Oh also where is a good place to get head bolts? The dealer quote was very high and local part stores do not carry them.

well, your going to have to change the headstuds. OE's are to be used once.
so ARP studs for 80 bucks can be found anywhere and OE or cometic headgasket. Do Not get auto store brand headgasket

you can re-use the OEM head bolts. Ive used OEM head bolts twice with no head lift/head gasket failure. Especially in your case since your motor is stock and im guessing you dont mash on it. Use whatever spec for whatever cams your using. i know b20 and LS cams are identical but just to be on the safe side.
