as the title states, the heater is not working. well the 3 and 4 works but the 1 and 2 doesnt work. its winter here in wisconsin and i could really use the 1 and 2 portion of the heater. i have no idea whats wrong or what could possibly be the problem. any infor going about fixing it would be great help !

heater as in blower motor? most likely the resistor on top of the fan.

 

Check to make sure the cables have broken or come off.

 

Does it come on at all in 1 and 2? Does it work when it's on cold?

 

its completely silent at 1 and 2. but blasts at 3 n 4 on heat. n no cold air.

 

everything still seems to be intact. but ill double check again.

 

What year is your car? Mechanical or electrical climate control?

 

What do you mean "seems"? You have to actually look. But first you need to answer the above questions. It makes all the difference.

 

the car is a 97 hatch.

 

"seems" i took off the old head unit n when i was doing so everything was intact. plugs wires etc.

 

Unless you have a photographic memory you're going to have to remove some plastic and look again.

 

What all have you done to your car? Anything in the dash or near either side of the firewall you have messed with or replaced? Anything someone before you could have done?

 

i didnt do anything to it. it simply just doesnt work at 1 and 2 but works perfectly at 3 and 4.
