Wasup guys, I need some technical suspension help. I just picked up a jdm dc2 itr shell as a restoration project and I havent dealt with the dc2's in awhile so I need my memory refreshed a bit. I was digging out some stuff that was in my storage and came across some of the rear suspension(-shocks/springs) setup off an old db8 itr(rear lca's, hubs, ie lug conversion or whatever else is there) and I just want to know if these will mount up on the dc2 frame just the same? I know the front suspension/spindles etc mount up just perfect but how about the rear? I have a feeling they have a difference in the back and not the front but can you call help me out here please? Supporting facts would be great. Thanks!

I suspect that they are exaclty the same, but if you want to be sure go to the parts lookup on OEMAcuraparts.com or AcuraOEMparts.com and make sure. If parts numbers are the same for coupe and sedan, then you're good to go. Although I've been spending a lot of time looking at the suspension section of my Helms lately and IIRC there is no difference.

Thanks guys, yeah I figured so myself. Due to my experience dealing with them everything seems to be the same right up to the front doors(obviously), and the only difference in the rear of the 4door is that its a bit wider and of course it has a trunk instead of hatch but I see no reason why the rear suspension would be different on a dc2 in comparison to the db8. I took a look at the pieces that run from the chassis and connect to the rear LCA's(wish I could remember what to term them as) and they seem to be exactly the same length. The only reason I havent tried them on the vehicle is because the itr shell I purchased isn't where I have my parts yet so I wanted to get some feedback beforehand. Feel free to keep the tech info coming, it truly is appreciated brothers.
I would say the only differences would be the springs (rates). At least in the rear. Even still, EVERYTHING will be interchangeable.
This is similar to what I was thinking as well. The longer wheel base DB8R might have different spring rates. I have been searching if there is a difference in spring rates between the 2 door and 4 door ITR with no success. This would influence my rates when I purchase the Koni/GC setup for my DB8. Anyone?

Now, since the sedan is only something like 80lbs total weight difference over an equivalent coupe (LS to LS, for example), and many people throw more weight than that in the trunk without worrying about spring rates, I wouldn't worry about it at all, especially with how stiff most springs paired with GC sleeves are.
Just installed dc2 gsr springs on db8 gsr and there is a noticeable difference in the rear. Less spring rate and the rear end sits lower, the rears will bottom out and ride on bump stops sooner than db8 specific spring! The rear end is a lot noiser than before going over bumps. I did change spring isolator, bushings, and hardware. I am using kyb gr2 shocks. I should have waited for a set of db8 springs, it's a lot noiser! The front end of the integra could have a little better turn in and less roll, if I do it again I wouldn't mind getting agx or koni with racing springs, but I daily drive the car and I'm in it for hours a day so I need something with a smoother ride.
