Default 1995 Acura Integra LS Heater problems

Question, I recently purchased a 95 Integra LS 1.8 HSI and I didn't check to see if the heat was working (Summer /bonehead). I found that the cable was disconnected from the back, reconnected, heat still wasn't working. I changed out the thermostat, hoping that was the problem, still isn't working. My motor relay and 40amp heater motor fuse are in good condition. What the heck am I missing? I checked through the firewall, and the heat cable functions properly. I'd like to not have to pay another $100 for a heater coil, if that's not the problem. Help!

So you've determined that the heater-control valve is pivoting as it should as you move the temperature control?

Does the blower fan actually work? Can you turn the switch and hear the fan running under the dashboard?

Are the two heater hoses connected? Follow them back from the heater control valve to their other ends at the engine.

When the engine is hot, are either of the heater hoses also hot?

Is the rad totally full of coolant, right up to the rad cap? How old does the coolant appear to be? Is it blue or green? Brown? Goopy?

The fan blower works properly, plenty of forced air, and A/C works as well.
The control valve APPEARS to be pivoting when the cable is pulled.
The heater hoses are both connected.
I have NOT tried to feel if they are hot while the engine is running, I will try that when I get back from my mission. Thank you very much, hopefully one of those items will steer me in the right direction
