Default Trap speed at laguna seca

So I am watching rennsport reunion at laguna seca. What a fantastic event! Anyway, the Eiffel trophy class ( 904, 914 and 911 - funny how the 904 makes the air cooled 911 look heavy in the corners )

They are 105mph ish at start finish line. Curious what the s2000, civic guys are hitting at that spot?

Yea that one is kind of a no brainer since he drives a Grand Am Camaro.

He said in a Daytona Prototype also in the Grand-AM series since he does drive both.

160mph at the start/finish seems high. He would be doing 180+mph before turn 2 if it is true which is hard to believe. 140mph is believable.

We are doing about 175mph by the braking zone for T2, according to data. It seems pretty fast, but we don't gain all that much speed by the braking zone since we have to brake so early without serious aero. We're doing 110-115mph (judging by rpm) in the GS Camaro seen here. Sorry I don't have any in-car of the DP car... didn't get it from MSR!

Yeah, first few times down into T2 are a bit hairy, but you get used to it pretty fast. Just wait for Daytona to roll around, the faster DPs will be tickling 200mph! Even that GS Camaro will see just under 170mph on it's own and a little more in a draft! That's pretty fast for a production car!
