it will be much harder, and pretty much a waste of time and money. do it the easy way, find a decent shell that is up for sale that is already a manual and just drop the b16 right in there. Youll save lots of time and money.
One problem with that is I have allreafy found a good shell have have it it drive way I went to my mecanimce and he said I should just sell the b16 and upgrade to a h22 what u think
That's kind of an ignorant response. If you're already doing and engine swap anyway and auto to manual swap adds very little labor. You need to add the clutch line and change the pedals (the hole for the clutch pedal is already there) and you'll need to drill the two small holes to bolt up the linkage. You also need to do some wiring for the starting circuit and backup lights and you'll need an auto to manual swap mount for the upper transmission mount.
^~~~ you also need the rear T bracket from a manual transmission.
auto to manual swaps are not that hard at all and just maybe 5hrs of labor to do yourself. if u have everything to swap it in just swap it int he new shell. everyone makes auto to manual swaps out to be too much work and to buy an already manual car. when its not any harder then doing an engine swap yourself. as for your mechanic telling u to sell your b16 to swap a h22 is an horrible answer. doing a H22 swap in a civic is not easy and requires alot of custom parts and not a direct plug and play swap like a b series motor is.

Thanks for the info guys has been really helpfull so what ur saying I should just take the set up I have right. Kw and just swap it in and not really worry about the h22? I have fallen in love with this motor but infill last year I was a Honda hater but I have change over to the dark side lol( they have cookies lol) so its it reall that hard to swap in a h22 ? It has so much more power.. The only other thing I wanted to do was may e make a ls/vtec but yet again I don't want this to sit o. My kitchen table for the. Ext year trying to build it there are. It many civics that have been done up properly around where I live so I want to show them what new age hotroding car do!!
