i bought a car with a b18c,how can i tell if its a type r or gsr,it has type r manifold,ecu,4 to 1 headers,lsd,but on the dyno it made gsr horsepower,dont want to take motor apart! motor runs like a champ

 

What is the block code?

What is the stamp on the head?

What is the VIN # above the oil pan?

 

the sad things with version updates of particular software are the new bugs they can introduce, much like in the logic of the code

if it looks like a gsr, feels like a gsr, then it is one.

 

the block code is b18c,its jdm so theres no vin number near oil pan,the head is stamped pr3 1or 2 i forgot

 

I believe PR3-X is ITR.

 

if on dyno then u see WHP which a stock R normally has around 160whp, if u compare that with 195HP, yes it looks like gsr, coz one is WHP another one is HP.
and doesnt stock R has 4-2-1 header ? at least mine came with it @ bought brand new

 

It's a JDM B18C. Comes with the JDM ITR 4-1 header.
