I just did a tune up on my jdm b16 sir2. New plugs, wires and a rotor. The cap looked fine and just sanded it a little. Lately i would be driving on the highway and my car would start to bog like sputter. Im going a constant speed and out of no where the car would sputter, and today i floored it till second gear and i slowed down and put it in 5th and the car was not going it sounded like it was out of gas. I was giving it gas but it was just going no where and all i heard was the intake and than the car started to go again. But this happens once in a while its not everytime i drive the car. Is this a bad coil? Bro told me when the engine gets warmed up the coil gets hot and starts to malfunction. Does this sound like a coil or something else?

 

This very well could be the Ignition Control Module.

 

Is the ignition timing set to spec?

Any CEL codes?

 

My car is tuned n the dizzy is advanced a bit if that's what you mean by ignition timing. I.have no cel codes. Car feels sluggish too.sometimes but that may be just me

 

I also have a rough idle. I was looking into getting the autoparts one is that fine? I want oem but no honda store has them in stock by me and cost $125.
