ITB's can actually hurt you performance wise.

And you still haven't given us nearly enough info about your setup.

That's okay. He'll get his thread locked. And I don't think this is a serious tech question any way.

Budget.
Power goal.
Purpose of the car the engine goes it.
What car?

Ultimately you have to weight pros and cons of both, something you have to do YOURSELF. Without research you are at a public forums mercy.

Right not everyone says to boost it. So I guess you have to do that.

It's all based on preference in what your goal is. I don't mind boost but my application is for track and what not. Depends on your budget like stated above and what you are willing to spend to get it done. It took me almost to years to get my interior and motor completely rebuilt. Still have to do exterior work but that takes time too. Things wont happen over night unless youre a baller haha. But what ever you choose to do, good luck.

my vote is for a stock b16 with ITBs so you can make a lot of noise and go nowhere. that's just my opinion.

OH SORRY WERE YOU ASKING WHETHER TO GET ALL MOTOR OR BOOST? BECAUSE THAT WOULD BE AN ORIGINAL QUESTION THAT'S NEVER BEEN COVERED.

Boost drops panties, ITB's eat small children.

You pick.

track car? daily driver? budget? any other mods to the engine like cams, h/c? if you plan on blowing that much money then you might as well buy a turbo setup, even an ebay turbo kit for that matter. and then once you have more money just replace the weak links of the ebay kit like the turbo, get the IC pipe welded instead of the couplers, etc. unless you plan on only using this car for an allmotor bragger at the 1/4 strip i would suggest boost over itb's especially on a bseries motor, if it were a k series this would be a different matter.

if your running a fully built 400hp daily driver and you gotta go around a tractor trailor or pass a car you gotta hold on and run the **** outta your car back and forth to work but in my expierence all motor has worked better for daily driving

if you're running itb's it's going to be all top end, so you have to think of what kind of driving you want to do with it. ITB's are good for a touge setup or track. but boost is good for drag. in my opinion i'm an all motor guy, so i'd say ITB's, a real header, 11.8:1 compression, stroked to 1.8l and a mildly aggressive cam. that should get you a good dd with some kick

I still don't understand your statement. "run the **** outta your car back and forth" just sounds like boost to me.
I'm not running 400hp as a daily driver. I have no complaints. Power comes in right where I want it.

all motor b16? pfft. pass. unless you like to waste a lot of money for little power.

not sure why people think boost is unreliable or useless. my low compression ls/vtec civic drives better out of boost than my stock integra. i don't even need to hit boost to pass on the highway.

All motor, drop the ITB's... Costly, VERY noisy and not really that big of a gain. P&P on the head, decent valve train upgrades, hi C/R pistons, MHG, run it

With a 400hp Honda, no you don't.

It's going to be harder to do it N/A, so I really have no clue where this is coming from.

I think n/a or boost is great in different ways. Its really based on preference and what you plan to do with it. Everything takes time in the end and costs you a bundle. That's the joy of building your own ride. Either way you go is totally fine.

N/a = expensive way to go pretty fast.

Boost = moderately less expensive way to go absurdly fast.
