You have the wrong wires going to the wrong cylinders. Take them all off and start over. The longest wire goes to #1, next shortest to #2 and so on. Here's a better shot of the z6.
nah dude you dont understand my car runs the way it is in the pics i posted
thats whats weird. if i hook them up like you guys are telling me the car wont start

PPut your wires in the correct order.
Put your motor to TDC. Make sure the end rotor on the dizzy is lined up
Then unscrew the bolt on your rotor and put the rotor or spin it to where it is right on the #1 cyl.
Your dizzy is 180 out whether you know it or not but do like I said and time everything and you should be running right

Flip your dizzy 180 since it is obviously upside down.
i don't know how the hell it can be 180 out one groove is bigger then the other for a reason that this cant happen unless you force it. his order is correct your order is 180 out and im surprised it even run's this way. you should check the internals of the dizzy to make sure it has the correct rotor on it.
we arent dumb lol and you cant flip the dizzy it only bolts one way and the key is offset so you cant be wrong thats why i was confused. and usually the rotor has a groove so it only fits one way also
I just had the same problem, you have the wrong dizzy on your car. IDK from which car but its the wrong one heres the reason why, your firing order is backwards because the rotor is 180 degrees off, make sure on the new one the rotor points in the opposite direction. Of course your car will still start because the firing order is correct for the old dizzy. You will gain more power too!
I hate to revive a dead thread, but this one shows up when searching for the problem. If your wiring is "wrong" but the car runs, the distributor's cam shaft was put together 180 degrees out of phase. To fix it, you take the distributor off, undo the clip on the cam shaft housing enough to push the pin out, rotate it 180 degrees and put it back together. This
has a good example. Doing this revived a dead car for me that had me stumped for a long time. I believe it was because the injectors and spark plugs are no longer paired correctly and the ECU eventually got so confused trying to adjust them to the point the car no longer ran.
