single cam clutch question
With a built y8 in the 325 whp range would you suggest a 235 ft lb or 295 ft lb ACT clutch? I know the difference is in the pressure plate, not the disk but would you go overkill or not? From what I've seen, single cams aren't the best motors for an equal torque curve. I'll be running this turbonetics turbo http://turboneticsinc.com/store/inde...product_id=549 and I don't wan't something that's not enough for what kinda power I can make reliably but at the same time there's no reason to have a pressure plate that's gonna be too much for my setup if it's never going to be used to it's potential.

Whatever holds the power. Simple as that. I searched for my clutch and they plainly tell you what horsepower they are rated to hold, or should.
They tell you the torque they are rated for, not horsepower, and that's what leaves me wondering. The problem I'm having is finding dyno sheets for similar setups so I can judge what I might make. I'm just not trying to buy two pressure plates if I don't have to. Guess I'll go with the bigger one..
