99 Civic D16Y8 fuel injector air assist valve

i have a 99 civic ex with a d16y8.it has a aav on the thermo housing.can i just block it off and swap to a 96-98 civic d16y8 manifold? with there being no issues down the road.

Make sure to use the 96-98 intake manifold gasket and you shouldn't have any issues.
