Default High compression pistons in a b16

Considering a 10:1 full crower piston and rod set up, what machine work is involved in changing them and any changes to the valves needed?

I'm not sure why you would want to increase the compression when B16 compression is 11:1. Unless your going for all motor or possibly forced induction in the long haul I would look at lowering the compression to 9:1. As far as changes in valvetrain again if you keeping this all motor or are you looking for my power in the long term? I'm currently at 9:1 static compression with wiseco pistons and eagle rods with all skunk2 valvetrain with ctr cams.

Why only a 10:1? If your going all motor why not shoot for closer to 12:1? What size pistons do you plan on using? I do recommend anything 81.25mm or higher which will require having your block bored and honed at a machine shop which is not all that expensive. To really notice any large difference with the crower pistons and rods you would need a higher profile cam and some head work so I think you may want to simplify your thought process a little bit.

What are your goals?
What do you want to use the car for?
If your just looking for a rebuild on your motor to run NA I would just build a b18/b20 with OEM parts which will hold up to just about all the NA abuse you can throw at it.
