Pros/ Cons on B16 head w/ B18 block?
Just like the topic says. I'm looking for the Pros/ Cons on B16 head w/ B18 block.
I really want a 2nd GEN B16, but finding them kinda pricey.
I am finding heads and blocks kinda cheap and am thinking about buying them and mating them, this way if I want to build them up, I can and they are already disassembled. Also, I can see what I am getting as they are already appart.
No real hidden surprises, right?

i'm running a 2gen b16a head mated with a '94 b18c1 block.
del-sol piston with a minor resurface with the head.
ITR cams with ITR manifold & chipped p28 ecu (skunk)
putting down 177 hp and 136lbs of torque, which equals to mid 13's pass.
happy for now
for almost a year (roughly 10,000 miles), no problems other than i missed shifted once from 3rd to 2nd.
burning a little oil here and there. most likly is my valve seals, don't know yet, taking it apart christmas break
any suggestions for "building it right"?
I have never frankensteined so I just want to be as knowlegeable as possible off the bat.
