Best springs with stock shocks?
Hey all,
I love the suspension on my S2k but wouldn't mind it sitting a little lower. I don't want to do full coilovers because I still want the car to maintain it's comfy/sporty ride. I had Koni's on my Civic Si and it wasn't fun to drive around town anymore (along with the many other suspension mods I had).
I feel like the factory struts are awesome, being remote reservoir, and so I would like to keep them but I am curious which springs pair well with them that won't throw off the suspension tuning that Honda's engineers developed?
Thanks in advance.

Have a search around, there's been a few questions like this. After all the research i did, i ended up with Neuspeed springs, but can't compare them to any others than stock. They dropped it around 1.5", and maintained (i think) the stock ride. It hasn't been tracked yet though.
A good coilover will give u what u want. Springs only give u the illusion that the car is handling good.
A good damper will maintain a comfy ride even with springrates double the stock

I run Eibach pro-kits. not overly aggressive drop (which I like), just a bit higher spring rates... thus keeping the handling pretty similar to stock (which I like), and with both of those combined, I've managed to get 60K+ miles on the OEM struts and they still work well.
Yes, coilovers are the better option, but for people who have no idea how to tune a suspension... spring/strut combos are usually best. Having the ability to adjust rebound/dampening and corner-weight the car is useless if you never/rarely track the car.
The "illusion" of handling prowess my springs on OEM struts has provided me, has netted a dozen or so trophies in various NASA events, Redline Time Attack events, and local autocrosses...
