Default brake problems

Hi yall, I have a problem I'm hoping somebody has an answer to. I put rotors and pads on my 1990 civic dx and afterwards I had no pedal, it would go almost all the way to the floor with very little brake pressure, so I bled the lines still no pedal... had a tightish pedal with the car off but nothing with car running. replaced the MC and fully bled the lines and bench bled MC, still same results, was told it could be the booster but after looking at other posts and checking booster according to said posts it doesn't seem to be the booster so I'm lost.. please help

Have you checked the adjustment of the rear drums? They could be not working or serving of the sort; this is assuming you bled the master cylinder right and there are no leaks, that leaves only a couple possibilities.

A bad brake booster would cause the pedal to be firmer and NOT softer. It's vacuum assist braking, not vaccum operated.

Check the rear brakes and report back - then we will go from there (this is assuming everything else is golden).

Bleed the living hell out of 'em. They can be stubborn sometimes. Once, I had to bleed my old '90 hatch 10 times.

EDIT: Were the brake cylinders leaking? Or, for that matter, was anything leaking? Is it pulling at one wheel when braking?

I haven't actually looked at the rear brakes. but I applied the e-brake and tried to move it and it wouldn't move... we have bled the brakes three times already, guess I will do some more tomorrow night.
also there are no leaks... everything is tight

If your rear brakes aren't working that you can be almost 100% sure that is the problem.

ok, got to work on brakes yesterday. I found passenger side rear wasn't completely working, adjusted.. better.. then pulled apart fronts and found a gauled sleeve on the top of driver side that wouldn't let the caliper float properly... lubed up both sets of pins and put it back together .. much better,
thanks for the help
