Default Flashing seatbelt light on dash

Help! Driving me nuts. I have a 90 Civic hatch. If I start the car with the door closed no seat belt light on the dash. If I open my car door, the seat belt light flashes, I close the door put seat belt on, and it still flashes, I have to start the car back up to get it to clear. I tries disconnecting the seat belt sensor under the seat, but still has same issues. Any idea on this one?

Founds past posts about this with no clear answer

Checked every fuse, all good...meh

Im thinking it has something to do with the seat buckles on the seat, this started ever since I was sliding the seats back and fourth. Maybe I can get some from Honda and if they dont work just bring them back....

Check you connection up top near the mirror.

That will give you fits.

if you are 90/91.

Start by checking wires in and around the wire boot in the door hinge area. It looks like a rubber accordion.

Do you have the "auto" seatbelts on the door?

No auto seat belts.

The connection on the roof was disconnected long ago for having random fits.

Thanks all keep them coming

Did you check your door lock switch?

Take out ( phillips screw) and sand clean apply contact cleaner the reinstall.

Also check door latch connections.

I'd look at door latch switch first.

Door lock connections appear to move free, sprayed wd40 just incase, no luck

Did some test last week and dug into it today. I swapped the lower seat belt latches and same issues. I sprayed wd40 in the lock mechanism on the door and it actually fixed it....for 1 day. I tried it again fixed it for 1 day and started up again which is telling me, that the fluid is acting as a electric guide that may be missing somewhere in the latch. I took apart the latch "which is a total PITA btw" and Im going to get a new one, sadly costs 70+ BUCKS! After looking at it "maybe" just unhooking the wire sensor would stop it from blinking, I just hate doing this half assed. Here is the part I am going for #10

my 88crxsi dash light for seatbelt flashes sporadically, sometimes when I
go over a bump... belts are on pillar and not on door. When I wiggle the
belt connection on the side of the driver seat, it finally stops so that is
where I need to check things out. Thanks.

Fixed it! It was the door latch. As far as I can tell inside the latch needs metal to metal touching, either mine was worn out or dirty. Im thinking more worn and no longer touching causing the issues. So about $90 to fix and was a total pita. Another option is just to disconnect the sensor within the door, but Im to **** to do it the half assed way
