my very good buddy offer me his B18C1 JRSC LHT LSD Tranny set up making 277hp to the wheels for my bone stock USDM B18C5, LSD Tranny set up. he was there when i got my car and was there when i got his. so we know both motors are great. should i trade? any input would help.

 

What's the point? If you ever sell the car it would be worth way less with a c1.

 

Is your c5 in an R or is it a swap? If it's in an R then no, if it's a swap then it's whatever you want. There's no way I would swap a c5 out of an R for a c1.

 

Keep the c5 its not hard to source a sc. Tranny alone would give ne a reason not to trade but its up to you gl

Why do you need our advice anyways? If you have a genuine ITR with the OEM motor, then you're an idiot for even mulling it over. If not, go ask somewhere else.

 

well the C5 no one really can get there hands on a usdm itr motor, rare to fined !!

 

what do you mean rare to find? They sell them at acura all day long.

 

6 month wait from acura. Rare as in having a vin

 

If you want to put a SC on the C5 the only major difference is the intake manifold and the the alternator pulley. The ITR motor uses a Mitsubishi alternator, all others are Nippon Denso. But there's no way I'd trade a C5 for a C1, period!
