Hey there. i was driving yesterday at around 30 mph and my car just shut off after switching gears into 3rd. it also doesnt want to start up after it shuts down unless i pop the clutch and start it that way.i also have noticed that my car eats gas like crazy. people have suggested that its the TPS. what do you guys think?

 

Welcome . First off, it's gona be hard to help you when we have no idea what kind of car your driving. Pretty sure you can test your TPS though. Just google it for directions.

its been driving fine ever since i finished this setup

Well I'm to busy to go and look up what codes you listed. Best thing is to list what they are. But if one of them is the TPS, I'd test it or replace it. There are directions all over the internet for testing them. That does sound like tps symptoms.

 

Code 20 is for the ELD. Usually when one of the codes is the ELD it's a bad ELD that's causing the problem. I would start by replacing that then going to the TPS.

 

oh shoot lol i went and just replaced the tps and now its all good but another problem arose , i lose all power when my check engine light comes on and im at wot then when i back off a bit the rpms rise again. but the car acts like poop and dies everytime i put it in neutral like the rpms drop all the waaaaaay down to 0 and dies.....smh this car is so troublesome could it be the map sensor now?

 

Could be. what codes you getting now? You can test these sensors. It's a lot cheaper than replacing them on a hunch.
