SIRII parking brake cables on VX , too short?

SIRII parking brake cables on VX , too short?
ok... i have the dumbest question of all time.....
i got del sol rear trailing arm/rear disk swap setup. installed them on my 92 vx hatch.
now, ive had JDM SIRII parking brake lines. I installed them.... i think correctly....
and the passenger side was like 2 inches way to short.... how the ****:??
theres no way you can mix them up, right/? they can only go on really one way, right??
is there a trick to it?
