ok......started happening the other day. 90 crx si, it has this thing where it sputters and sounds like it backfires but sounds like air when it does. or maybe its not getting fuel, but i pulled the line off and primed and its getting fuel. ive bought a new distributor, fuel pump, spark plugs, wires. this problem started a few weeks after i changed all this. i checked the compression and its 195 across the board. any suggestions?

 

and it didnt start immediately after i changed all that. but it started the popping wen i changed the spark plugs (ngk platinum). there is no cel on, but it works. its got a jumpy bouncy idle but the rpms stay stationary on the gauge. it is like that through all rpms and gears and started out not so bad but noticeable. one time it felt like i had hit a rev limiter. iac? tps? pcv? i ran sea foam through it which did nothing as i suspected, thinking it would be maybe clogged fuel injectors/fuel rail. i have no clue wat is going on. but i did notice that it builds up oil in the second spark plug tube from dizzy so i replaced the valve cover gasket and gromets (whole kit). but still the same results. but compression is good. i am completely stumped

 

out of all the members on here and the 90 that looked, no one has any clue of what it could be?
