Default swap question

ok was on my way to finish my honda last weekend putting the half shaft in went in the transmisasion fine but didnt go into the hub. come to find out the hubs were off a gsr. thats kinda besides the point when i was filling the transmission up with oil found a bunch of metal shards in there. so my question is with a 6k budget what would be the best route to take b18c1/5 or a b20? i persionally wouldnt want to go with the b20 cause ive heard there gernades so if i went with the b18 what all do i need to buy and engine mounts i know ebay has almost the whole setup minus the mounts asuming and after all is over and done with i live in cali what all do i need to make sure i pass at the ref or bar(ive heard you have to go to a ref and ive heard something about the bar exam idk if there one and the same) thank you guys

B20 is a good motor if you don't rev it that high, b18c will be faster.

I don't think you can swap a B20 into a Civic in Cali because it's considered a light truck motor so it's not legal. Cali Fail!

And the people *gernading* B20s are n00bs tuning with fmus and fukn vafcs lolololol! They'll take plenty of abuse with proper tuning. And a little ARP hardware.

And if you have money for a B18C5, then you're the fukn man and that's what you should get. Keep it N/A!

ya i dislike cali for that reasion its bs because just because we like tro mod our vehicles doesnt mean were gonna be retards and race everyone, it also helps out the gas milage the first things u do are i/h/e and thats freeing up restrictive parts ppl are just stupid. what we do is a way of life. but anyway so i did find complete engine and trans w/ ecu axels, half, shaft, harnest. i know i need engine mounts who has the best ones to go with and do they need trannie mounts(i think that might be a dumb question) also since the transmission has a lsd does anything have to be done to the car or would the kit usually have all the hardware? thank you guys sorry for all the questions this is my first real project i have a spair parts vehicle its a 91. and my last car was a 00 daewoo lanos :/ thanks again!!

You need to read up in the FAQs sticky thread, bro. Many of the answers you seek are there. I run Hasport mounts and I love them.

You will need the conversion kit to go from cable > hydrdo tranny mount. I'm in the process of dropping a b16 in a 91 EF.
