My crank pulley is separating!?!?
Hey again! One problem down, another one to take its place. I found out my loss of electrical power. The belt to my alternator and crank had been slipping. Upon further investigation, I found that my belt was slipping was due to the fact that the entire crank pulley itself can be turned by hand in a complete 360* and from side to side with minimal force. However, the other belt and part of the pulley does not spin at all by hand. It looks as almost it has separated from itself and is just doing its own thing at this time. So I am currently running off of battery power. At some points during my wonderful jouneys around town, the belt will catch providing some sort of help from my alternator. I figure I need to get a light weight one anyways, and again looks like ill be riding my ninja again in 30*F weather for a while longer. Is there anything that I can do to have a temp fix until I get a chance to order the part, or am I SOL?

I read the article and it was very much helpful Mike. I was reading both articles and they were leaning both ways. I am glad you posted. Looks like ill be rollin clutch wheelies to work for a week or so. Thanks for the help.
My cousin had the same issue on his 92 Accord. Went to the junkyard and snagged another one: Problem resolved.
PS. You may also need to loosen the motor mount on that side for it to come out. It's a easy task.
