Ls swap in 89 Wagon 2wd Multi-point harness swap questions
So i have come back home from out of town work to find my brother and his friend has finally put in his ls motor...in stead of keeping the stock harness and done a multi-point conversion he opted for the cleaner route of swapping the cabin harness/engine harness from a 91 si. The car cranks, does not start. The fuel pump is not coming on, im about to check the voltage at it as soon as i post this. Also when the key is on, the headlights come on with the switch off, and they do weird stuff with the switch on. never seen anything like it. Is there any differences in 80s to 90s chassis harnesses? just thought id ask before i tear it out and put his old harness back in
fuel pump is not recieving voltage, main relay is "clicking" but there is not a 12v surge for fuel pump prime
got the car running by jumping the fuel pump. fixed the lights (grounding issue) main relay clicks but still no fuel pump prime. How bad would it be to run the fuel pump off a switch for now?
