2002 HUB ASSEMBLY ???
here's the situation. I have some awesome wheels on my '92...
but she needs to be replaced, 235,000 miles. As you may know, it's got the
4x4.5 lug pattern. I wish to keep the wheels for my next honda...the '02 coupe. but lets say I can NOT find an I4 (same lug pattern). and I buy a V6?
but still want to use my old (sweet) wheels, can I just swap out the I4 hub
assembly, with the V6's? (will they bolt straight across?) Or would I have to change out the whole CV joint? Axel and all? If you follow what I'm sayin'...please let me know. thanks. P.S. "MAD MIKE" I guess I should of told you...I already have the wheels...4x4.5...any ideas?
Or....should I just go with one of those "spacer disc" things?

Although adapters would be the correct way to go, being you are using two different lug patterns, you will need an adapter that will be thick enough to allow using different bolt patterns due to the stud length. But if the wheels are designed to fit a stock 4 lug variant of your vehicle, all it will do is push the wheels out too far from the body anyway.
I highly suggest you either find a car that fits these wheels you have, or find wheels that will fit your V6 car.
Trying to adapt these wheels to your car is going to be costly at best.
FWIW the V6 Honda uses the 5 x 144.3mm BP, that translate to 5 x 4.5" BP.
Many cars use the 5 x 4.5" BP, Ford cars and small trucks, midsize GM FWD, Mopar cars, Nissan cars, etc.
Figure out what size wheels/offset will fit your current 5 lug car and search around the different makes/models for same or like wheel sizes. I often see 90s Altima/Maximas and GM FWDs running around with mid 90s Mustang wheels.
Trying to use the 4 lug wheels on your 5 lug car is just going to be more trouble and cost than its worth. Sell the wheels, and find a set that will fit your car.

Thanks MAD MIKE, I do know that an '02 coupe (I4) has the same lug pattern and same offset. It's just that I can't find the exact '02 that I want, and I've been looking diligently for about a year. So the thought of going with the '02 coupe...V6, was purely out of desperation. And I was willing to do all the work involved in keeping my wheels. I thank you for convincing me to continue my search for the I4. These wheels are maybe a year old...check 'em out here...http://www.superbuytires.com/Verde/V52%20Shiv/
