stainless MIG tips. Need help.
Once again this is MIG! I used stainless .035 wire, Lincoln handy MIG, Argon, CO2 mix. I tacked the part together and did 1" welds. I Know its not great, but I,m trying to learn and improve.
Mostly trying to learn how to stop and start smoothly. On the inside of the pipe you can see that where the weld meets the tack, penetration was lacking.

I have some very large stainless weldments coming through the pipeline next week, ill post some photos when they are finished for you to check out. Each weldment has ~1500 inches of weld.
As far as learning I would highly suggest finding a local job shop or metal fabricator and asking them about getting some scrap chunks to run some practice beads on instead of the tubing. I'd practice on some flat plate and knock those out of the park before you move to pipe and tubing with the GMAW machine.

I have a very similar question about this as well, I have just picked up an auto arc 120 by miller electric with a tank and I don't know if I should use 100% argon or with a co2 mix ? Yes I am a newb at welding and want to get better.
