Crankshaft Sensor Issue

Default Crankshaft Sensor Issue

HELP!! car cuts out while driving then starts again after 10 mins with engine managment light on code reads crankshaft sensor . iv changed the sensor and still same prob so then we checked the timing and seemed to be out so change the timing chain and still same problem its been to a couple of work shops and cant find anything. If antone can point me in right dierection would be amazing!! CAR IS A 2001 DC5 AND DONE 56,OOO MILES

When you crank and the engine refuses to start, does the tachometer needle jiggle just the tiniest amount, or is dead-still?
