95 accord, engine will sometimes turn over?
So, i was driving around yesterday when my car just shut off on me, I tried starting it back up, but with no luck. I got it towed back home and i started investigating, I tried turning the engine over by hand and it turned MAYBE 1/4 turn and wont budge after that. So I took the head off (stock f22b2, 244K miles) and I could crank the engine by hand easily. I took the head to my local machine shop, they vacuum tested it and it had no leaks at all. So I'm about to put the head back on and I go to turn the block to TDC and now it wont budge again.
Any ideas guys? I want to avoid taking the block out, but it's not looking so good right now -___-

are you actually trying to turn it by hand? or with a wrench? If it is by hand good luck. when you turn the motor you will pressurize a cylinder (the one that should be firing on that cycle) so it will make it difficult to turn. once you get past that area it will crank again. If its not starting make sure you have spark at the plugs and make sure you are getting fuel.
I'm turning it with a wrench, the head isnt even on the block right now so i'm just moving the pistons. I'm going to take my oil pan off and see if i can find something wrong down there.
