nice work.
what keeps the itr in limited or from going to unlimited? i have no clue on their rule set.

It would be interesting to see back to back testing with those wheels and tires vs. a set of 15x9's with 225 45 15 tires to get the car a little lower to the ground
nobody make 15x9 in 5 lugs, i wish i can find some, let me know if you know any wheels company that offered them?

I agree, You guys should be running 17"s And start looking at gearing instead of chasing HP.
Great photos and Video Loi, Lots of GEAR-X Love!

kiwi, always a lof of love for you!
with that wide of a rim and tire with a high offset you will hit in the front when turning, Well unless you tub the front. I am on a 17x9 +25 and I have rub marks and thats with on a 235 r888
i don't see the point in having such a tall tire and having to raise the car so much if you're only going to run a 235 width tire?
235 was the preliminary as I scored them for stupid cheap new, and I knew for fact I could get them to fit. I am not sure how you don't see how a taller and wider wheel is unnecessary? My old setup of 15x8 949s with a 225/45 R888 was 8.9" wide tire and 23.xx tall. I would/could/did burn the tires out of every corner and no matter how hard you tried you where always near the breaking point on them which in turn overheats them horribly, another point because of the speed my brakes where suffering and need to be bigger. When I switched to my 17x9 w/ 235/40 these measure 9.7 on this wide of a rim and is 24.xx tall. Not only is the footprint wider from the width but also from the circumference, also because there is more rubber it is going to take longer to overheat. I can still light them up out of a corner if I really try but I can actually utilize the power now. Besides the fact something we are doing on these "tall" cars must be working somewhat as there laying down some quick times.
On side note I dread the day these these 2 cars meet lol

There is a guy that races with me with 15x9 continental slicks, The car is very quick but we where about the same speed threw corners when I was on my 15x8s.
the thing is the extra 1" wide wheel isn't going to make the tire contact patch magic grow 1" on a 225.

we are currently running 245 with 17x8.5, this is with a +35 offset, no issue with lock to lock. we need more traction, no reason go to back with smaller tires lol
I am presently running 15x8 6UL's on the conti slicks. The tread width is closer to 10" even though they are labeled as a 225. My Hoosier wets and A6's are the same way.
Plenty of tire for me this last season with an N/A stock internal JDM ITR swap. I'm not sure if it will still be enough after the 12 psi LHT/JRSC install this winter.
Regardless, I will not be making near the power that either of you are....not till after the next transplant anyways

Not sure about how wide the conti's are but just because you were about the same speed through the corners doesn't say that much. Maybe chassis setup was better on your car and you were making it up there!
