If I am correct, the box under my intake manifold with the two lines coming out of the top is the crankcase venting box. There is a hose that runs off of the intake manifold down to this case, and my car doesn't have it. I'm looking to get one at the junkyard, but when I went to get one, I couldn't figure how to get the bottom portion of the hose off. My question is, is the little valve thats on the intake manifold a one way valve? Or could I just run a hose down to the box without that valve? Here is a picture of the hose I'm talking about.
