Default Need help with changing coolant

So i was checking out my car today and realized that i was really low on coolant. I let my car idle for about 5 minutes and realized my headers got hot quick. Now can i just pour new coolant in or do i have to drain it out?

Don't have to drain, open the cap when the car is cool and add coolant.

Header or ''exhaust manifold''

First things first I would check to see if there are any leaks or possibly a pin hole in a hose.. or it could be evaporating...

If the engine is not running or hot you can remove the radiator cap and start the engine and add cooling while it's running top off and secure radiator cap.

I'm not sure of your location, but now would also be a great time to check the condition and temperature of the coolant considering winter temperatures are rolling around very soon.
