i have an automatic 97 accord 2.2 sohc lx i need to know what is the most/best recommended exhaust system for my car want to do it from the header back... dont want so crazy loud annoying sound... want a nice performance sound even though im sitting stock

Apexi ws2, magnaflow, megan, it depends on your piping and resonator and all that. Look in the FAQ right above this post, I believe there are sound clips with a bunch of different exhausts. Go on youtube and look too. Its alot of personal preference

Are you looking for a certain style muffler? You can put any setup on if you go to a shop, it just depends what you want. A bolt on system?

Every exhaust I have had, I get custom done at my local shop, its cheaper, and I can change out my mufflers much easier

Also, you are going to want to run it from the cat back, not header.

I have a 97 and i put a Megan racing cat back on mine. It ran me around 400 bucks and its decent at most. It's a bolt together kit and didnt fit together too good. I'd get a custom one like Toyota00 said.

 

Ya man, I had the megan n1 muffler ($100) plus piping of my choice, 2.25, and angled how I wanted ($120) - ran my $220 altogether. I did have to go back to get one hanger pulled up higher for $10, but that was out of generosity as a tip for helping out so much.

Buy a nice *** muffler you want, don't skimp, quality will show through within a month or two depending on how much driving...then get it custom done!
