Default Turbo lsvtec p30 intake or victor x

Hi, I've got a 81.5mm lsvtec running 16 psi on a holset he351, the turbo flows 62lbs per minute. I'm getting full boost by 4500,pulling hard til revlimit at 8500. Will I lose power alot of low end and midrange power and only make power from 7k and up switching to victor x? I'm gonna up the boost to 20-22 psi once my water meth is running. Type r cams are coming in the future too.

For high boost ditch the stock intake.

personally it depends on what you wanna do with it

if its a street car i would keep the stock intake or upgrade to a performer X, type r or a s2 manifold.. personally i think the performer x is a great manifold for the street that doesnt take away any power down low and adds a good amount up top

if its all out drag car id upgrade to the victor x and not worry about anything below vtec

i had a s2 and upgraded to the victor x and lost a good amount of mid range but picked up power up top and it held out further

Im running the victor x on my b20v and it definitely pulls hard up top. Used to have the s2 on my ls but its hard to compare on these two motors.

My set is a gsr with ls crank, 9.2:1 compression, eagle rods, ctr cams, sc60 with .82 housing and stage 5 wheel.

I used to run a blox which same thing as skunk2 maybe a tiny bit less flow and then switched to victor x. the blox had a little more low end out of boost but the victor picked up midrange and a **** ton of high end power and allowed me to make power up to 9200rpm vs 8400rpm

A dyno will not give you too much info other than WOT. I just switched from an AEBS to a VictorX and it doesn't feel much different below 6k. It feels WAY different above that though! I am pleased with my choice considering what I use my car for (drag). If your only wanting more than 500-600 hp then get the victor IMO.

You should be able to make some great numbers on the stock with that size turbo

I have a b20v turbo. I have a skun2. I guess the newest version/gen. i will let you know when i get back from the dyno. Tuner said it will be about a 25%+ better flow over the stock one all across the board and should take me from 375 to 425 pretty easy. (other mods were included in that estimate)

Its not just a "dyno" thing. Its the design of the plenum and runners. you WILL lose midrange torque... that's the way it is, bottom line
