although it is a shitty awd system, most people use the cr-v awd transmission since it bolts up to b series engines.

Pfft, this isnt team integra!

Yeah bro AWD came stock, but ONLY with D series motors. To get a b series motor to fit would take a little bit of creativity.

You will have to modify the entire rear suspension to make it work.

I was thinking, if you took that awd d series DB, and removed the front axles (put in plugs), you would have a rear wheel drive teg!!!!

I have no idea of this would work and it may be a stupid suggestion but why don't you take the front suspension off the DA and put it on the rear

Make it Mid-ship Runabout? Mid engine you mean. MR (from the MR2) means midship runabout lol. Named by toyota, it is not a name for mid engine placement. Just sayin.

MR is short for RMR ( rear mid engine, rear wheel drive)

Why would a three letter abreviation need to be shortened, like RMR isn't short enough? And it's not called "rear mid engine", it's just mid engine, so basically you made up "RMR" and "MR".

so a mid engine rear wheel drive car and a mid engine awd car are both called just mid engien? NO, ones called MR (RMR) and the other is RM4.

do some research

Yes because wiki is such a great place for info considering anyone can put whatever on there. It would not be called rear mid engine.
It's mid engine (in front of rear axle),or rear engine (behind the rear axle).
Don't worry I did my reasearch and I used ASE BOOKS, not Wikipedia...

lol, every body I have ever met who is "ASE" certified, is a complete moron and knows next to nothing about anything technical on cars, just how to change brakes and oil. Id trust Wiki over that.

and i dont know how you arent getting this, the "rear" in "Rear mid-engine" stands for where the engine is mounted.

Rear mid-engine, Rear wheel drive

Front mid-engine, Rear wheel drive

Front mid-engine,Front wheel drive

a mid-engine car is classified as such if its engine is behind the front axles, so even front wheel-drive cars can be mid-engine cars.

The Acura 2.5l rdx and 3rd gen Acura Vigor are both technically considered mid engine cars.

I never said books for studying for ase's, I'm saying automotive books put out by ASE, you know, like every other book that a real shop owns? Something you wouldn't know about.

And once again, you just posted that up from WIKIPEDIA.

And yes, they are all called mid engine if it's between the two axles. I'm talking about engine placement, if it's mid engine rear wheel drive, then you call it that, there is no stupid fawking abreviation!. Get that through your head, Mr. knowitall

Let me make this clear for you....
There is- Front egine, - Mid engine, -rear engine. Can you process that? There is only three?

Take your bickering into pm guys..... At this point, don't matter who is right, I come to honda tech to get away from arguments with my girlfriend and read about cars, and this is where I end up? CMAN
