FS in CT: 96 5spdd LS, 125k, $2000 OBO
This was a nice car until I was driving too fast in that freak October snow storm we got here in CT. The good news is that the car was and remains mechanically sound. The engine did not lose any fluids and, with the exception of alternator mounts that might be a little tweaked, it was completely untouched in the accident. The tranny was in fine working order before the accident with no grinds and good clutch life left. The suspension was completely untouched as the radiator support and bumper beam took all the damage. Maintenance was up to date with a timing belt and water pump done 20k ago, full tune up, fluids, rotors, pads, rear wheel bearings, O2 sensor, valve cover gasket and grommets, iacv. The interior is beige and 7.5/10. No rips or tears but a couple minor stains on the carpet. Car has an apexi ws2 catback on it. The car is movable but not driveable so you'll need a trailer, a tow or a dolly and I am not equipped to help you with this. This would be the perfect pickup for someone with a civic looking to put together a little street fighter on the cheap. I think my asking price is fair but I'm flexible. Hmotors wants $2000 +shipping for a b18b changeover; buy this car and you're getting a full suspension, brakes, interior and all the odds and ends you could possibly need. That said, I want my garage back for the winter so make me an offer that isn't stupid and come get the car. Thanks for looking. Not parting out.

EDIT: Best offer made to come get it this weekend will take the car, no time for flakes.

So what if HMO wants 2000 for a b18 change over. You can pick them up complete on here for $1000 at the most. Your better off pulling the motor eating your losses and parting out your shell.

I know from personal experience that HMO is a good outfit but the reality is that you never know with 100% certainty what you're getting. Buying a car like this removes all uncertainty and you get all the odds and ends that may or may not with an HMO purchase. That said, I don't really disagree with your comment, I just don't have the time or the desire to part the car and I want my garage back asap. I don't expect to get $2000, that's just a starting point. I was hoping to find someone that has a stock car they've wanted to do something with for a while but have been waiting for a cost effective way to do that.
