So where I live fog rolls in early in the morning and decreases visibility so foglights would do me good. The rest of the time they are just cosmetic, so I gotta ask on a black ej1, whats the best color?

 

they have HID foglights. google some different setups and see what you like.

That is incorrect. The best luminescence for a light will come from a lamp that is around 4100k in temperature. The color that coincides with that temperature, is white.

 

Actually, Matt, if you are driving thru the fog, yellow would be optimal in your foglights. Yellow "cuts" thru the fog better and won't cause as much glare on the fog itself. As long the foglights are aimed properly and your low beams are off, you should be able to see thru the fog better.

 

I'm not so sure, bud. The premise of that superstition, that yellow light waves are long enough to pass through water particles without reflecting back into the driver's eyes, is based on a misinterpretation of Lord Rayleigh's principle of light scattering. As it turns out, the water particles in fog and mist are entirely too large to have an effect on any light waves from fog lights (regardless of color). In other words, any fog light that is properly mounted and aimed is effective, so don't worry about the color. And, seeing as though 4100k lights give the best luminescence... you're back to just white.

Id say ion blue lense foglights...Blue-ish when off, yellow when on. I got'em on my black ej1 and havent seen another with them..by no means rare.

 

I must agree yellow brights up the road pretty good.
