Default Congrats to Spoon --- another SuperTaikyu Win!

It's been quite awhile since I last posted a SuperTaikyu race result...

This weekend was Round 7 of the SuperTaikyu series. The race was held at Sugo, and was a 500km race, roughly 2.5 hours long.

Final result in Class 4 (2000cc and under):
1) Spoon S2000
2) ACID S2000
3) Redline Integra Type R (DC5R)
4) Spoon Civic Type R (EP3R)
5) Advan Integra Type R (DC5R)
6) Dunlop S2000
7) A-One Integra Type R (DC5R)
8) La Passegek Integra Type R (DC5R)
9) Integra Type R (DC5R)
10) RCB-DL Integra Type R (DC5R)
11) Yamato S2000

Also worthy of note, the 5Zigen Integra Type R (DC5R) in Class N+ finally got its first win in N+, although this may be more due to the fact that the Advan Altezza didn't finish the race

So with one race left at Fuji Speedway, Spoon and ACID are neck and neck for the series championship

Spoon

Why does that Spoon S2000 look so slammed? Suspension must be compresed I guess... could be a show car.

it looks like it is a high speed slight uphill left turn, therefore the right side of the car is heavily loaded. (look at the driver's hands. his right hand is at the 12/1 o'clock position, that may signify a left turn)

95mm ride height to the jack points

What's actually Spoon on the car? well before this thread turns into another Spoon bashing thread I should mention that last season, Spoon built and maintained 7 of the 9 S2000 racing in SuperTaikyu... contrary to what many people might think here, Spoon does know how to build and race cars!

But to answer the question, as we had a Spoon race S2000 at A&J, I can say that the coilovers are Spoon, the all the suspension bars are Spoon, the roll cage is Spoon, brake calipers and rotors are Spoon, intake/exhaust is Spoon, engine... balanced and blueprinted by Spoon, Spoon headgasket, etc...

???

I've never seen Spoon bashed in the ITR forum.

Only thing I've seen bashed are people who don't use road race parts for their intended purpose.

Awesome Spoon is awesome... I dont know why everyone bashes them , they build quality parts for a purpose. It's just many of the people by there stuff over here for "show car's" to compete in da tiiiite JDM class y0 That gives them a bad image when people do that IMO.

Spoon gets bashed all the time here... overpriced, useless, rebadged products, etc

Yes, Spoon is running a Mugen kit on their S2000 this year

Class 4 is 2000cc or lower displacement. Engine mods are very restrictive, stock internals and header

Class N+ is a development from N1, and is still based upon FIA Group N regulations. N+ regulations are freer than Class 4, and N+ cars have a slight edge in speed over Class 4 cars.
