Default Upper-Lower Suspension Control Arm Problems?

My HondaDealer Service tells me camber & toe is out of range on left rear and
can't be adjusted back . 5 months ago, Honda was able to adjust alignment to acceptable range. Honda says $1000 left rear arms replacement is only solution! No accident or known road damage 05 Civic Hybrid, 79,000 miles.
Anybody had same problem?

Sounds to me like they want more money. I would take it to an alignment shop and see what they have to say.

second opinions are always a good idea when dealing with 1000$+ repairs
however i have seen control arms and trailing arms being bent without the customer knowing, usually when their kids hit curbs and don't tell mommy lol. keep in mind a control arm or trailing arm is a very solid thing when just rolling around, but one hit and they can be severely bent, ive seen someone go over a curb and the front of the trailing arm touched and bent back the unibody when the arm mounts just a little, and sure enough it threw out the toe severely.

but yes, get a second opinion unless they can show you where it's bent (not always obvious)

the 2nd opinion from an alignment shop indicates the Honda dealer test-equipment is out of whack or the technician doesnt know how to read it.
Same test-equipment shows all camber, caster, toe within limits.
Additionally, 2nd opinion from alignment shop and 3rd opinion from independent mechanic could find no detectable damage to suspension, rims or tires.
I'm saving my $1000 for tires, batterires, and oil changes!
Thanks for the suggestions.
